The past 2 months....

Well if you didn't already know Greg has been gone for 2 months... and my life has been pretty crazy. The first week he was gone I attempted annual check ups for the girls at the same time...hahaha....hahaha....yeah that was fun!!!! Two weeks later we got our first snow, about 4 -5 inches not bad until it froze...and I had to drive!!! Greg came home for Valentines Day, and we were so excited. Then we got a very sad call. Greg's Papa passed away on Valentine's day evening. Papa McDaniel was a very good man and was love very dearly by my girls and by us. Two weeks after Greg left we got our second snow this time 8 inches!!! What the heck!!! Its like it knows when Greg leaves so then it snows? It melted quick, thank heavens! Every month the girls and I go to Arts and Crafts at the community center with Lauren and Janette the neighbors. They have become a weekly play date! Last week Greg's dad got some upsetting news about his health, so the girls and I are traveling to West Virginia tomorrow for a week to be with him during his surgery. Greg is graduating on Friday, and then he will be meeting us there!!! Hurray!!! Well, that has been my 2 month in a short story, sorry no pics I have to go pack but I promise next time there will be!!!

My first Famous encounter!

So, Today I took Greg to the Reagan National airport to catch his flight to Arizona for school, and I was standing near the escalators when security started to moved people from the area where I was standing with the girls. The security officer said I could stay there because I had to small children, then he escorted 3 men towards me and they stood right next to me . When I looked up at the large man standing next to me I realized that holy macaroni it was LL Cool J!!!! I bent down and told Cassidy that he was a movie star, she waved to him and he came over and shaked her hand and mine and even pinched Taters cheek!!! By this time my heart was beating so fast I couldn't think straight, he probably thought I was a crazy woman with this huge goofy grin on my face!!! Greg and the girls got a picture with him...even though I didn't I will never forget this day, I always thought of movie stars as being snob noses and rude...but he came up to me and my kids and shook our hands!!! LL ur one awesome dude! Oh, then on the ride home I saw the Arlington national cemetery, the pentagon and I think the white house! Yes I got lost...so I am an official Virginian!!!!!

Merry Christmas 2008

This time of year I really start to realize how much I miss my family. I called all three of my sisters, Jayne left me in tears by the end of the conversation, Shel and I caught up on recent life happenings, and Karen didn't answer her phone because she has no signal (Merry Christmas Karen Bernie and Jaks!).I miss you all alot and wish we could spend the Holidays together!! I miss Christmas Eve at Grandma's with the whole family, eating shrimp and tamales! But we are all grown up... but I wish we all kept in better contact. Going a year without talking to my family is stupid... and i hate it. I guess no one else is bothered by it... but you should be. Anyways enough of my crappy holiday speech! Cass and Tater are beyond spoiled with a huge amount of toys and clothes! Greg and I spent Christmas Eve in the ER becasue I got burnt with water which caused 2nd degree burns. We had Christmas Dinner with some friends which was nice. So thats my Holiday Story in short! Hope everyone is healthy and happy!!

Happy Holidays

Happy 4th Birthday Cassidy

Cassidy turned 4 on the 9th! I can't believe it... I remember going in to the hospital at 5:30am waiting for the moment for her to come into our lives. And now shes old enough to start pre-k! After our scare last year with her health it makes you realize how real special a mother daughter bond really is. She has become a mommy's girl, she will even watch Army Wive's with me! I love you Cassidy! I will always be here for you. Happy Birthday Princess!

Halloween 2008

Well, It was time to leave Fort Hood and make our long and horrible journey to Fort Belvoir! On the way we stopped at my in-laws house so the girls could spend Halloween with them! So we bought pumpkins for the boys to carve and the the girls were spoiled all week!

Cassidy's Pumpkin!!!

Greg and Ryan carving pumpkins up until 10 min before we w
ent trick or treating!

Tatum not carving pumpkins.. she didn't like the guey stuff! Or she might have been pooping?!

She would rather ride her bike!!!

Tatum didn't want to wear her adorable mouse costume! Her loss...

Cassidy, our princess!! Right....

Tatum made it 5 house then Pappa toke her home and she passed out! Cassidy made it through the neighborhood telling people she liked their curtians and their decorations were nice! I have no idea were this child gets some of these ideas but they r crazy!!! She even tried to go in peoples houses to pet their dogs and cats!!! Halloween is over... Hopefully she doesn't climb on the roof and try to mal Santa and his reindeer!!

Saying Goodbye

The hardest part of being in the military is having friends.

Just when you think that your friendship has blossomed, your put on orders, shipped to a new station, somewhere you have never been, away from family and friends.
So before our last weekend at Fort Hood we got our dearest friends together for one last fish fry.
I miss Fort Hood, My Friends, My Military Family.
Oh and there are kids and Andrea that r missing from photos!! Sorry!!

Catching Up...Hehe

Ok, so I am a little behind on my blogs..but that's my life, always behind on everything! So the next few posts are going to be a little late...sorry.
